Five Lectures by the leader of the Pre-Raphaelite and Arts and Crafts movements: " The Lesser Arts", "The Art of the People", "The Beauty of Life", "Making the Best of It", "Architecture in Civilisation". Handsome period Brown Tree-Leather binding with 5 raised bands to spine. Gilt on brown title label in 2nd compartment. Gilt decoration on spine and narrow decorative gilt border on boards, Endpapers and all page edges marbled. Antique illustrated Booklplate with Armorial Bearing on endpaper and same owner's name on back of ffep, dated 1884. No other inscriptions. Pages in very good, clean condition. Leather has splits down sides of spine, some rubbing on spine and a corner of title label missing (Gilt lettering intact). Some wear to tips of corners.
