Sobre este artículo
London: Lovat Dickson,, 1936. First edition, first impression, of the author's first book, inscribed by the author on the first blank: "Best wishes, Edith Pargeter". This copy is in the scarce jacket. Edith Pargeter (1913-1995) was "a realist, immersed in history and attuned to moral questions whose pioneering work in medieval historical crime fiction" did much to consolidate the popularity of the genre. Octavo. Original red cloth, titles to spine in gilt. With dust jacket. Spine rolled, ends lightly faded, edges slightly rubbed, tips a little worn. An excellent copy in the toned jacket with a few shallow chips and nicks to extremities, minor loss to spine ends, and front panel skilfully reattached.
