Sobre este artículo
Paris: Probably Published by Clouzard & Soulier, 1858. Paris, circa 1858. 3/4 inches by 6 3/4 inchesCirca 1852-1856 Claude-Marie Ferrier photographed a number of Parisian buildings, including this one. Although Ferrier was a competitor of Clouzard & Soulier, they did publish some of his 1850s images among the earliest 2-glass stereoviews before Ferrier merged his business with theirs. The image shows the City Hall of Paris as it appeared before it was burned by the Paris Commune in 1871. Provenance: from the collection of Robert N. Dennis, who was one of the most important stereoview collectors in the U. S. The New York Public Library's "Robert N. Dennis Collection" includes more than 70,000 stereoviews from his collection, many of which can be viewed on the library's website. Please note that my scanner does not do well with glass stereoviews. All of the glass views I have listed have superb images, especially when observed through a stereoscope.. Early Edition. Glass. Near Fine. Illus. by Claude-Marie Ferrier. 3 1/4" by 6 3/4". Photo.
