Foxing to fore edge, bottom edge untrimmed, some creasing to spine. Bright throughout, save a little toning and marks towards the rear. Benson's nineteenth stand alone novel, exploring Christian Science as a cure for protagonist Lord Thurso Raynham's migraine-induced opiate addiction. E. F. Benson (1867 – 1940) was an extremely prolific English writer, completing over fifty novels, four novel series, short stories, plays, biographies, and other non-fiction works on subjects as varied as golf and grave digging. His last work, his third autobiography, was delivered to his publisher just ten days before his death. . First edition. 8vo.

Concentrating on hand-press printing and early modern manuscripts, we pride ourselves on offering a varied selection of antiquarian works on a diverse range of subjects, leaning towards the interesting, the important, and the unusual.
We have a countryside bookshop in Wareham; we also regularly issue catalogues - do ask if you would like to be added to our mailing list - and frequently exhibit at regional and national book fairs in London, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, and York.
We also offer a valuation service (for either insurance or probate purposes), as well as advice on library development.
