New York: John Day / Reynal & Hitchcock NONE [NONE] 1935. (hardcover) 318, 467, 353pp. Very good, no dust jacket. 8vo. Quarter beige linen over tan cloth. Paper pastedown label to spine; top edge stained brown. There is a name penned (small and neat) to the front free endpaper and is lightly starting at the half title page and also and more pronounced, at the rear hinge. Includes 3 books: 'The Good Earth', 'Sons' and 'A House Divided'. Overall, very good copy; internally clean and bright, albeit lightly age-toned. Pearl S. Buck won the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for the Good Earth and was the first American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature 'for her rich and truly epic descriptions of peasant life in China' and for her two memoirs (biographies) of her parents who were missionaries there..
