Two people are isolated in a dilapidated country mansion – the owner, Josie, confined to bed due to illness; and, McGreevy – bloody crusader for a United Ireland. In brilliant and ferocious vignettes, O'Brien charts the two opinions of the characters and offers the heated argument that serves as a parable for the dilemma which lies at the soul of Ireland today.
