Sobre este artículo
NY: Moffat, Yard & Company, 1907, 1907. FIRST EDITION OF THE AUTHORS FIRST NOVEL. 1 vol., publisher's original gilt lettered green cloth, the faintest of rubbing to the head and foot of the spine, back corners still square and sharp, internally clean and bright, a truly bright sharp copy. A young musician becomes the protege of an older man, whose artistic talents are abundant and varied; as their acquaintance extends, he finds his own powers weakening, and is forced to conclude that the other is drawing them from him in vampire fashion. Like Wilde's "Picture Of Dorian Gray" it has an obvious homosexual subtext; it also affinities with the work of Hanns Heinz Ewers.
