Sobre este artículo

Some foxing to top pages and Huck's name inscribed on ffep. Jacket shows some edge wear and rubbing, small chip on spine, small tear on front cover edge. Very good.

1973 National Book Award Finalist. This copy from the library of children's literature expert and Ohio State University professor, Charlotte Huck (1922-2005).  Huck served on both the Caldecott and Newbery Honor committees and authored the standard textbook, Children's Literature in the Elementary School.  In 2014, the National Council of Teachers of English established an award in her honor, each year recognizing a transformative, compassionate work of children's fiction.

Sinopsis

The House of Wings by Betsy Byars is an intense short story about a young boy left in the care of his strange grandfather and a house full of tame birds. The surly young man must find a way to relate to the equally surly old man in this tale of self discovery.
