DJ is VG and is not price-clipped ; Mueller was born in Nordhausen and studied and taught in Leipzig, where he had Lynd Ward as a student. He emigrated to the US prior to WWII and illustrated titles such as Kidnapped, Treasure Island and Don Quixote. He also illustrated works by Knut Hamsen.
