Octavo, deep green textured cloth boards with gilt imprinting on front cover and spine and with ornamentation in blind stamp on front cover, as well; frontispiece with tissue guard; 333 pp. ( 6 + 327). Replete with illustrations - 117 of them - those being black and white photographs and finely-executed drawings. See scans. Very Good, and not far from Near Fine: modest wear at spine ends, corners barely touched; front free endpaper bears the 1910 signature, in flowing india ink script, of the presumed original owner of this first printing example. Contents fine, with a very low degree of page edge toning outside. See all seven scans. Many reprints are available, but this original work of scholarly architectural assessment is scarce. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course; not a bag. Box 202
