Sobre este artículo

New York: ReganBooks, 2000. First Edition [Stated], First Printing [Stated]. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. John Earle (Jacket photograph). xviii, 317, [1] pages. Appendix: A State-by-Stare Road Map to Reform. Appendix B: A Cal to Action Directory. Slight wear and soiling to DJ. Huffington's call to arms to citizens to take back the government of the United States. The author is a noted political commentator. Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (born Ariadn -Anna Stasinopoulou on July 15, 1950) is a Greek-American author, syndicated columnist, and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post, the founder and CEO of Thrive Global, and the author of fifteen books. She has been named to Time Magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. She was 16 and graduated from University of Cambridge where she earned a B.A. in economics. At 21, she became president of the university's debating society, The Cambridge Union. Huffington, the former wife of Republican congressman Michael Huffington, co-founded The Huffington Post, which is now owned by BuzzFeed. She was a popular conservative commentator in the mid-1990s, after which, in the late-1990s, she offered liberal points of view in public, while remaining involved in business endeavors. As of 2014, she is listed by Forbes as the 52nd Most Powerful Woman in the World. In 2011, AOL acquired The Huffington Post for US$315 million, and made Huffington the President and Editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group, which included The Huffington Post and then-existing AOL properties including AOL Music, Engadget, Patch Media, and StyleList. Powerful and enlightening. How to Overthrow the Government is an impassioned call to arms from one of America's sharpest and most independent commentators. In its pages Huffington breaks away from the party-line platitudes of Republicans and Democrats alike while challenging Americans to rise up and take back their government. From the power of special interests to the ravages of the war on drugs, Huffington offers radical yet viable strategies for reclaiming our nation from the corporate and political powers that hold it hostage. For, as she argues, if We the People are to preserve and protect our more perfect union, we must stand up and fight for our country — before it's too late.
