Sobre este artículo

Very little wear. The cover has some very minor crimping at the top and bottom of the spine, and little else. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. This book illustrates the frustration of trying to sell older books. The only date given is 1911, the date of first publication, but as this is a Modern Library Edition from Random House, I knew that wasn't the date for this volume, as Random House didn't exist in 1911. (Bennet Cerf is on the logo, and he was only 13 in 1911.) Eventually I searched images for other books that looked like this one. The majority indicated 1942, so that is what I went with, although I have no idea where they got that year. In a caution for online book shoppers, one seller was claiming the book as being a 1911 first edition. Do your own research and do not take what the seller says without a little corroboration.

Sinopsis

Of Human Bondage is a novel by W. Somerset Maugham. It is generally agreed to be his masterpiece and to be strongly autobiographical in nature, although Maugham stated, "This is a novel, not an autobiography, though much in it is autobiographical, more is pure invention. " Maugham, who had originally planned to call his novel Beauty from Ashes, finally settled on a title taken from Spinoza's Ethics

Opened August 1st of 2022, Turtleman Used Books in Olympia, WA. Address is 108 22nd Ave SW, Olympia, WA 98501. Suite #4. This is a small shop, so some books may only be displayed online, others only displayed in the store. Come on by if you are in town. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Many of my books are oversized. Rather than ask for shipping adjustments at the time of purchase, the list price for heavier books includes the excess shipping cost.
