NY: Scholastic, 2008. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 2008 Scholastic First Ed/2nd printing ( # line to 2) in VG/VG+ condition. It is ex-library but the only mark are the letters WD in marker on the inside of the rear board. Otherwise just a few corner bumps and a bit of roughness on the inside boards. The unclipped DJ shows virtually no wear having been in mylar continuously.
Sinopsis
The story is set in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, where a wealthy Capitol rules over twelve impoverished districts. Each year, one boy and one girl from each district are chosen to participate in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death. When Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the Games, she becomes a symbol of hope for the oppressed people of Panem. I feel this is a very overrated series. If Gale was a GAIL nobody would care about it. It also focused way too much on the violence.
