San Marino, CA: Huntington Library Press, 1970. Soft cover. Near Fine/None as Issued. Text/BRAND NEW & Bright. Illustrated (detail, Constable, View on the Stour) soft cover/NF w/light edge wear. Handbook/guide to the Huntington Museum. Former residence of Henry E. Huntington (1850 - 1927), the Huntington Art Gallery opened in 1928 with a prize collection of 18th-century British art, including the celebrated Blue Boy by Thomas Gainsborough and Pinkie by Thomas Lawrence. The collection has grown to include art works of the Italian, French and Netherlandish schools, as well as additional British art and design of the 17th to the early 20th century. The highly specialized collection benefits from a setting of period furniture & decorative objects.
