A square, tight and unmarked copy. Covers lightly scuffed, a few tiny dents, rubbed corners, and faint smudging. There is also a 5/16' x 9/16' elliptical scar to front cover, not reaching any words or illustration. Presumed first as number line contains the numeral '1', however, there is no code on the bottom of spine, nor lower right hand corner of rear panel, as per Younger/Hirsch #39...perhaps only present on lib. bdg. copies?

Theodor Seuss Geisel—aka Dr. Seuss—is, quite simply, one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time.
