First person account of Alaskan Eskimo life by full-blood Eskimo Paul Green, born 1901 in Kotzbue, and whose Eskimo name was Aknik. Tells about how he got his name, the Alaskan Arctic, hunting bear, seal, whale, and caribou, how to make a snow house and sod igloo, Eskimo dances, Eskimo stories and legends, Eskimo foods, customs, duck hunts, ice fishing, and much more, all preserved in his unique style of Eskimo English. Illustrated by renowned Eskimo artist George Ahgupuk. Nicely inscribed and signed by the author in both his English and Eskimo names on the title page. Very Good Plus, in a Very Good dust jacket which has two tiny chips on the top edge of the front panel, not affecting titles or graphics.
