Sobre este artículo
Hanover, NH: Steerforth Press, 2004. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/near fine. First edition (stated). Hardcover. 293 pp. with source list. Illustrated with photographs. Generally fine, slight bumping to the lower tips. In fine dust jacket. One of the most sought after and elusive modern era mob books, adapted for the 2019 Martin Scorcese film starring Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. The title comes from the the first words Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa ever said to Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, the code term for a contract killing (the "paint" is the blood that spatters on the walls and floor). After returning from World War II, Sheeran became a hustler and hit man, working for the crime boss of northeastern Pennsyvania, Russell Buffalino. He was also a truck driver who was made head of the Teamsters local in Wilmington, Deleware. When Hoffa disappeared in July, 1975, Sheeran became a leading suspect. In interviews with author Brandt, "The Irishman" tells all (most of which was probbaly true)---a lifetime of payoffs, manipulation, hits he made, other famous mob hits.
