New York: Fleming H. Revell. Very Good- in Good dust jacket. 1942. First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 253 pages; 1942 Fleming H. Revell. HC/DJ 1st edition. Soundly bound in original red cloth with titles brightly in gilt and red to spine. Original pictorial dust jacket with publisher's $2.50 issue price intact to unclipped front flap. Notably it appears the ionly difference between the 1st and 2nd editions is on the dust jacket. Hinges a little tender but contents sound and clean. It appears that a frontis photograph may be missing; there is no frontis present in this 1st edition copy. Scarce dust jacket is tired and worn, sunned and brittle at spine with jagged partial splits along the joint folds and shallow chipping at spine ends. We have placed some archival japanese paper tape to the rear of the jacket to close the splits and reinforce the spine. VG-/G .
