Seuss published 'Yertle the Turtle' in 1950 also, but it is not listed on the back of this book, indicating this copy of 'If I Ran the Zoo' is an early 1950 printing. Copyright page has 8 lines of text (the first printing had only 7). Pictorial cover is worn through at the corners and spine caps with a 1" tear to the top of the spine strip and overall wear but clean and bright. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Pages have just a couple very faint finger smudges but overall clean and in very good condition. ; 64 pages .
Sinopsis
If I Ran the Zoo is a children's book written by Dr. Seuss in 1950. The book is written in anapestic tetrameter, Seuss's usual verse type, and illustrated in Seuss's trademark pen and ink style.
