An incredibly charming collection of over one hundred and seventy traditional rhymes for children collected and edited by Iona and Peter Opie. With an introduction and notes by Iona Opie and numerous boisterous illustrations by Maurice Sendak. In the unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only and some minor dotted marks to the front wrap and spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated in text throughout with colourful embellishments by Maurice Sendak. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
