Memoir of a combat infantryman; the married father of a young child, Zorns was drafted in 1944 ans served with the 62nd Armored Infantry Division, 14th Armored Division, commencing with their push to the Siegfried Line through the Vosges Mountains in late November, 1944. Wounded & captured in mid-January, Zorns spent the rest of the war in Stalag XIIA, where his faith in God helped sustain him until the camp was liberated in March; he spent a little time recuperating in Paris before being flown home. Hardcover, full green cloth, white titling. Light wear, no jacket as issued; ink numbers on page 117, no other marking noted. Text clean; x, 222 pages, b/w photos. . First Edition. Hard Cover.
