Sobre este artículo
New York: Hacker Art Books, 1988 Revised edition, reprinted from the 1939 second edition of Charles E. Tutle Company. The study of Lamaism and its iconography is both fascinating and baffling. The number of gods in the Tibetan pantheon seems to be limited only by the bounds of human imagination, which, indeed, is here lavishly displayed. Every image is symbolic of something, and every part of an image has a meaning, which doubtless cannot fully be known even to those deeply initiated into the mysteries of Lamaism. From the collection of Sanje (Frank) Elliott, Buddhist mentor, artist, and friend to many. Condition notes: [xxxi], 131 numbered pp; HB no DJ. Pages: clean, bright, tight, red eps, b/w frontis; no defects. Cover: white cloth, red/gilt artwork front, gilt titles to black spine block; minimal shelfwear, small light stains to a small area of the front, shallow crease to front corner. Still, a very nice copy.
