Item is mildly dust-soiled with faint small stains to back cover and a little edgewear, rear pastedown bears the seller's fiche of a San Francisco vedanta bookshop. Good to very good copy: sound and unmarked. Adyar Library series no. 77. A quick overview of text and index shows the vedanta view of personality contrasted frequently with socialist interpretations; Annie Besant was an active promoter of socialism as well as theosophy.
