Sime was Editor of THE IDLER September 1900 - January 1901. Faint creases to covers, minor browning, lower corner of p. 175-176 torn with minor loss to margins; a very good to near fine copy, unrestored and in lovely condition with a complete, unchipped spine that has a tiny tear at the top edge. Rare in the original wrappers.

¶ Sidney Sime is an almost legendary name in the world of illustration. He grew from poverty and obscurity to become ‘the Greatest Living Imaginative Artist’. Sime is mostly remembered for his fantastic artwork, especially his story illustrations for Irish fantasy author Lord Dunsany.
