Text is in German. Previously owned by private library and very well cared for. Dust jacket is adhered to boards with clear mylar sheeting.

His most widely known novel, The Blue and the Black, published in 1958, was translated into many languages, including English, and adapted for film and stage. With wide blank margin, engraved frame and title. Two very small ink marks on title, otherwise in tight, bright and clean condition with strong plate inprint. A delightful print, empahsising the more rural aspect of this area.
