Frontispiece. The boards are a little shelf rubbed and faded marks. On page 189/190 there is a small closed tear and on pages 261-264 the top edge of the pages have a small top piece of the page missing, all text remains legible. The binding is excellent. GK. I had been looking for this book for weeks before I discovered Biblio.com. I watched the movie starring Susan Hayward and was intrigued by Lillian Roth's story. As a doctoral student in clinical psychology I am always interested in "the story" from the participants own mouth. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to know the true depth of alcoholism and how it can cripple a persons’ life. Lillian Roth is very open about the damages of alcoholism and her painstaking climb from the bottom of the bottle
