Colour pictorial cloth; a fine copy in the excellent slipcase. The author's personal account of the kidnapping of General Kreipe on Nazi-occupied Crete. With an introduction by M.R.D. Foot, prologue and epilogue by Iain Moncreiffe, and afterword by Patrick Leigh Fermor. Loosely inserted is a newspaper clipping containing an tribute to Fermor by Christopher Hitchens.
