Sobre este artículo
Sydney: J. Allan, Printer, 1855. A tinted lithograph by George French Angas, the artist responsible for the notable "South Australia Illustrated" & "New Zealand Illustrated". The National Library of Australia holds two copies, stating that this is most likely the cover to sheet music. The oval scene shows a young woman weeping in the foreground, a letter in her hand, surrounded by bush. In the distance is a sailboat on the shoreline of a bay. A prayer circles the oval in the border. The central image is printed in black with sepia tinted background is on paper 24 x 33.5 cm. . Three old folds, somewhat marked and dusty, slt. crease in "Illawarra", 2 sml. closed tears & tiny puncture repaired archivally. Removed from an album sheet, with old blue marks on verso. A fair copy of a rare item. Libraries Australia ID 7404359.
