New York, NY: Delacorte Press, 1978 Delacorte Press, New York. 1978. Hardcover. Edition/Printing not stated. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. The book has an ISBN of 0440041058 and the DJ is 0440043182. Book Condition: Fine. DJ: Near Fine; Price Clipped; oblique fold across rear flap; scant rubbing to panels. Green marbled boards with tan 1/2 cloth overlay on the spine; Metallic blue lettering on the spine with feather on the front board. Green marbled endpapers.143 pp 8vo. This ISBN is tagged to a slipcover edition- I am assuming this edition is another special edition from Delacorte that was married to a stock DJ, thus the different ISBNs. A lighthearted mystical adventure story about two barnstorming vagabonds who meet in the field of Midwest America. Filled with constantly mind-whirling dialogue between a guy named Richard and a real Messiah who quit. A clean and very presentable copy. Rare to find in this condition.
Sinopsis
This is Bach's follow-up to Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Flight still plays a role, but this time it's people in airplanes. It's a somewhat lighthearted philosophical piece that was cutting edge at the time and still holds up pretty well. We're all children of god, and the material world is illusion.
