Sobre este artículo

Seattle: American Craftsmen's Council, 1960. First Edition. Metal prong binding, three-hole punched leaves. Very Good. James Edward Peck (cover). 4to. (8-1/2 x 11). Unpaginated. Illustrated with large black & white lithograph photo reproductions, text set by Selectric. Pale gray stiff printed wraps, titles and Peck illustration printed in black on the front cover. Errata slips laid in. Edges rubbed and age toned, light stains and chips to covers, leaves otherwise clean and bright. A valuable resource in the decorative arts of midcentury Pacific Northwest. "Contains information on the training and performance [awards and commissions] of over 80 craftsmen living in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, who have expressed an interest in working with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, city planners, and in filling commissions for private clients." This is followed by several fine photographs of each craftsperson's work. Includes sculptors, painters, weavers and potters in wood, clay, stone, fiber, cement, plastic, enamel, mosaic and glass.

Intended to be kept in a ring binder for the addition of supplements issued by "Architectural Craftsmen 300 Columbia Seattle."

A particularly rich resource for today's architectural historians, collectors of Northwest decorative arts and fine art, etc.
