Large Octavo; in the publisher's slightly faded puce moire gilt-decorated cloth, without a dustjacket; the boards have some quite minimal sunning at the edges; with seven tipped in colored plates and portrait frontispiece, as well as addtional color plates and in-text black and white illustrations; one of the tipped in plates has a very small corner crease; signed by Nellie Melba on the recto of the leaf following the frontispiece.~~Australian Dame Nellie Melba was one of the most recognized opera singers of the Victorian age.~~This deluxe edition is uncommon. Very Good binding.
