Sobre este artículo

Garden City, New York: Doubleday and Company, Inc. This early trade edition of Ray Bradbury's classic, "The Illustrated Man" features the original Sydney Butchkes artwork and cover design on the price-clipped dust jacket, and a photo of Bradbury on the rear panel credited to George Czerna. (See photo). Although the only date is the 1951 copyright date, the book is most likely from around 1959, since it mentions "Dandelion Wine" on the top of a book listing by the author. The book is in Near-Fine condition, with tan covers and brown spine lettering. It has glue residue on the front free endpaper, where the original owner's bookplate was removed. It also has a small bookseller's sticker from the original bookseller. The original dust jacket has a long, wedge-shaped chip missing from the top of the spine area. The dust jacket is in a protective sleeve. The book measures roughly 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches and includes 252 pages. . Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Sinopsis

The Illustrated Man is a 1951 book of eighteen science fiction short stories by Ray Bradbury that explores the nature of mankind. While none of the stories have a plot or character connection with the next, a recurring theme is the conflict of the cold mechanics of technology and the psychology of people. The unrelated stories are tied together by the frame device of "the Illustrated Man", a vagrant with a tattooed body whom the unnamed narrator meets.
