Bound in half-morocco on marbled boards. Illustrations include an title page vignette engraving as well as fourteen engraved plates. This is a comprehensive guide to Roman antiquities that were discovered and preserved in Bath. Contents include an introduction of the history of Bath, which gives information behind the high amount of archaeological remnants found there, as well as chapters on various Roman antiquities. These include a 'monumental stone', an altar, and a sculpture from the fourth century.
