London: Victor Gollancz, 1945. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Slim 8vo., 160pp. Sharp First Edition of the author's first book. Bound in blue cloth with titles in gilt on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a touch of wear and toning to edges. Tiny blemish to cloth on the front board. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust jacket, (7/6 net on the spine panel), has a couple of tiny chips to the spine ends. Toning to spine and moderate soiling. Still solid and complete with no creases or tears and quite scarce in any condition. A gorgeous collectable copy. (Hubin, p.288).
