An Impartial Enquiry Into the Causes of the Present Fears and Dangers of the Government, Being a Discourse Between a Lord Lieutenant, And One of his Deputies, Summoned to Hold a Lieutenancy, For Raising the Militia. Light rubbing to extremities, front hinge starting. Some soiling to title page, interior otherwise fresh. $200. * First edition. Support for the Protestant monarchs in the form of sage military advice: a warning to pursue naval power rather than a land war in the struggle with France. It is also an expose of treacherous advice given to the king by French sympathizers. English Short-Title Catalogue R34927.
