Sobre este artículo
New York: The Macmillan Company,, 1915. First edition, first printing. Published shortly after the outbreak of the first World War, Veblen's fourth book aimed to account for why and how Germany had so successfully dominated the modern industrial market, basing his arguments on business enterprise rather than "national genius". Joseph Dorfman, in his Introduction to the 2006 edition, argues that this is "the finest drama that Veblen ever wrote" (p. xii). Octavo. Original dark green cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, single frames to covers in blind, top edge gilt, others uncut. Spine darkened with lettering faded, some rubbing and soiling to cloth, residue of newspaper clippings to rear pastedown, endpapers toned. A good copy.
