Sobre este artículo
New York: William Morrow & Company, 1938 Young writes the history of these years brilliantly, ruthlessly, and dispassionately, with a dry humor that makes for a very human document. From the collection of Wayne Prescott Suttles, renowned anthropologist, scholar, and linguist regarding many Pacific cultures, and especially the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast Salish people. His name inked to half titles. Condition notes: 328 numbered pp; PB. Pages: clean, ivory, tight; slightly cocked, ffep and sfep detached, present. Cover: red/yellow/black wraps w/ French flaps, black titles front/spine; substantial edge/shelfwear, front cover detached but present, toned, spine faded. This appears to be a pre-publication copy, perhaps an ARC or review copy. It is the only period paperback copy I can find of this title (all others are hardbacks), and it has a publisher’s stamp to the half title indicating it will be published October 12, 1938. The colophon carries only the 1938 date with no additional printings or editions noted, which was William Morrow’s protocol at that time for designating a first edition.
