Boston: William F. Gill & Company, 1877. Book. VG+. Cloth. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Brown cloth with black rules and designs to front and spine. This copy is VG+. Exterior is bright, clean, with minimal edge wear and modest crimping. Gilt is brilliant. Interior has brown EPs with the armorial BP of Edwin Forbes Waters, the author of " The Great Stuggle in England for Honest Government : Considered in Two Lectures with Reference, which was published in 1878. waters was a contemporary of Madame Amantine Lucile Aurore-Dudevant ( George Sand). The text is unmarked, clear, and firmly bound with a scattering of light foxing. Frontispiece with tissue guard of Sand. A truly lovely edition with a very nice provenance.This copy was translated by H.K.Adams with Memoir.
