Sobre este artículo
Constable & Company, 1925. Hardcover. Very Good. Scarce work by Sir Michael O'Dwyer, a British official who served as the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, India, from 1912 to 1919. The author draws on his personal experiences to describe events in Punjab, Rajputana, Hyderabad, and Central India from 1885 to 1925. Among the topics covered in this book include the impact of WWI on British rule, the Punjab Rebellion of 1919, the Montagu-Chelmsford reforms. Finally, the book addresses the question, "Is India a Lost Dominion?" Tall octavo (8 7/8" tall) [xi], 453 pp. Green cloth. Includes fold-out maps of India and Punjab. From private collection. Bottom corners gently bumped.
Edges of book block and prelims show a little foxing. Binding is a bit limp. Edge of Indian map curls a little where it extends beyond edge of book block.
