Tufton was a curator in ethnology at the then-United States National Museum which was to become the Smithsonian. Scarce in this first edition. Line illustrations and photographic plates throughout. Boards are quite rubbed on edges, corners bumped, edges of text block rough. Interior clean and free of markings, hinges are starting to split but binding is tight.; Book; 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall .
