Sobre este artículo

Chicago: McClurg, 1914. First Edition. Large 8vo, pp. xvi, 213. Illustrated with 95 plates, including 32 color rug replicas and numerous photos by George Wharton James. Bound in sl soiled tan cloth stamped in brown, a very good tight clean copy. Larson, Controversial James, 29; Howes J-43. Still the definitive study of the craft and artistry of Indian weaving. James was among the earliest systematic collectors/dealers of Navajo rugs. He spent much time with weavers on the reservation and collected most of the pieces illustrated in his book himself.
