Book details the savagery of the Indian/U.S. Calvary warfare in the latter part of the 19th century from 1865-1890 drawn from the accounts of soldiers who fought in the battles. 310 pp. plus: Acknowledgments, Bibliography, Index. 'A' on copyright page would indicate book is a First Edition/printing. Blue cloth covered boards have dulled gilt text on spine and front. Book is tight and square. Corners are bumped and scuffed, 1/8" closed tear/chip on top edge front panel, spine ends worn and frayed, wrinkle/surface scratch mid spine, top edge dyed but sunned, fon bookplate front pastedown, foxing ep's. Unclipped, unpriced DJ is in 2 pieces and is much chipped and torn. Digital images available on request. Bookseller's Inventory # 122830.
