Scarce, Victorian Decorative Cloth Binding Published in London by Ward Lock And Co., 1881 Beautifully bound in the original Victorian decorative green cloth binding blocked in gold and black.The titles are blocked in green on gold panels on the front cover and spine.The boards have bevelled edges.All Page Edges Are Gilt.The front cover has a Native American killing a bear blocked in black. The book measures 7¬" x 5", it has xii + 310 pages + a 10 page publisher's catalogue at the rear.It has a b/w frontispiece + 6 other b/w illustrations. Published in Ward Lock's 'The Boys Books Of Heroes, Patriots And Pioneers' Series, the binding and contents are tight, clean, minor cracking to front hinge & in one section, otherwise clean tight copy in good condition. . 1881. Hardcover.
