Association Copy, the ownership signature of Hilton U. Brown at front end page. Hilton Ultimus Brown (1859-1958) was general manager of the News at the time of the libel case and up until his death, and at his death was considered the "dean of Indiana newsmen". He also served as the president of the board of directors of Butler University from 1903-1955. The book is Near fine, small rubs at corners. The indictment ... charged the defendants, Delavan Smith and Charles R.
