With numerous in-text woodcuts, and several full page engraved plates, including a frontispiece. Contemporary green half morocco with gilt titles and decoration to spine, and Papier Tourniquet over boards. All edges and endpapers marbled. Edges worn and faded. Near black ink notes to p.298 and p.306. Light toning and spotting to plates. Light wear to binding, with extensive re-colouring to sunned spine. Very good. A very detailed treatise on game shooting, mainly relating to birds, but also with a sections on Trout fishing and cookery. Including full instructions to construct a remarkable stealth vehicle which looks rather like a tank, described as "Wildfowl Artillery.
