Chicago: National Sound Money League, 1898. First Edition. Octavo (21cm.); disbound; 14pp. Previously removed from sammelband with remnants of spine and rear free endpaper still present, some chipping and short closed tears to textblock fore-edge, else Very Good and sound. Published as "National Sound Money League Pamphlet L." Address originally delivered by Robinson, editor of the "Railway Age," at the National Currency Convention in Omaha. The Populist NSML was formed two years prior with the aim to continue "the efforts made during [William Jennings Bryan's] presidential campaign of 1896 for national honor and sound money, and the education of people to a realization of the necessity for maintaining the gold standard" (cf. James Livingston, "Origins of the Federal Reserve System" (1989), p. 104). OCLC locates two copies of this edition as of June, 2019, at U. Denver and Ohio History Connection.
