Sobre este artículo
INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY COMMISSION TRANGULAR AND TRAVERSE SKETCHES. NOEL J. OLGIVIE AND JAMES VAN WAGENEN. Published by: E. C. Barnard, E. Lester Jones, James H. Van Wagenen, J. D. Craig, J. J. McArthur, Noel J. Ogilvie, O. H. Tittmann, W. F. King: Government Printing Office Washington, D.C. 1931. This volume is bound in green cloth with gilt lettering and a pictorial design to the front cover. Gilt lettering to the spine. The volume displays very faint moisture markings, light bumps at the corners, and slight rubbing to the exterior. This work is bound as a portfolio, with a folder on the interior containing loose plates, as issued. The folder displays faint scattered smudges. This volume is complete, with an index sheet and forty plates--labeled A-D, then 1-36--of colour maps. The plates are clean, bright, and in near fine condition. Bound with five raised bands. It displays external wear: rubbing to the covers and edges, light fading to the spine, and a large ripple in the cloth on the rear cover. The binding is sound, and the hinges have been reinforced with cloth. The volume is adorned with marbled endpapers. Internally clean and bright, with photo illustrations and three-fold-out maps, two of which are in colour. A crease appears in the bottom corner of pp573-584. This volume contains the indices. An antique geography portfolio of Canada and the United States, with colour maps and plates. 'Joint Report Upon the Survey and Demarcation of The Boundary Between the United States and Canada'. 'Triangulation and Traverse Sketches to Accompany the Commissioners' Report on the Reestablishment of the International Boundary from the North-Westernmost Point of Lake of the woods to Lake Superior'. Signed at Washington, October 27, 1931. This volume is signed by British Commissioner Noel J. Ogilvie, and U.S. Commissioner James H. Van Wagenen on pIII, p187, and p188. It is almost impossible to find these two volumes together signed and in such excellent condition. This is a heavy item.
