Blue cloth, large octavo with titles in gilt and family crest design on cover in gilt. Housed in original cardboard slipcase with black titles on spine. 17 pages of photos.
Corners sharp, cover bright, textblock square. Interior clean, binding tight. Some foxing, soiling to edges. Slipcase has wear, rubbing at edges. Shibusawa [1840-1931] founded the first modern bank in Japan and helped move Japan into the modern capitalist age by founding joint stock companies and also encouraging foreign trade and international relations.
