The gardens created by Osgood Mackenzie's in 1862 on a peninsula exposed to the Atlantic weather are described by Mrs Cowan from the notes of her late husband who looked after the gardens for the National Trust of Scotland. pp 152. Well illustrated in colour and monochrome plts. The dust wrapper has a small tear on the upper rear hinge and a little wear on the edges, but secure under protective cover.
