London: Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1908. Leather. Very Good. 9" by 6". None. A lovely edition of this work utilising the beliefs of the Burmese people to provide a better understanding of Buddhism. Studying the beliefs of the Burmese people to provide a better understanding of Buddhism. Written by Harold Fielding-Hall, an Englishman who lived for some time in British Burma, serving as a high-ranking official in the colonial government. He wrote multiple books on religion with a particular interest in Buddhism. Previously owned by Sir William Eden, a British politician whose son, Anthony Eden, served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Rebound in half brown calf with red cloth boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and the odd mark to the board. Joints starting slightly to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with pencil annotations to some pages. Very Good
